comparing the mini lf to the v-raptor

Months ago i did some testing with the v-raptor and mini lf in a studio space with aputure lights (pre blair) as a control. Here were some of my findings. the v-raptor falls apart pretty heavily if you try to pull exposure 2 stops. i was extremely suprised by this especially for a camera touting 16+ dynamic range. The mini lf holds up much better under identical circumstances. i also noticed that the RED SENSOR IRONICALLY HAS THE HARDEST TIME WITH REDS. No amount of color grade magic could get it to look natural after a certain point. THe mini lf held up much better. I did notice that the mini lf had a slight cyan tint to the footage, but i realized what i was seeing was a more honest view of what the sensor sees. the raptor must be interpreting the colors a way that helps it appear more neutral under led circumstances. i suppose i can see the v-raptor working better in a studio environment but a mini lf working better under natural light or non-led fixtures. i haven’t had the opportunity to do this test with new led technologies but i imagine the results would be better and appear more neutral to the alexa.
